This is being pushed by the Leftist SJWs of the Catholic Church. I am FURIOUS at this imposition of politics into the Mass – just as I would oppose a GOP pledge.
I was alerted to the Leftist pandering by Adina Kutnicki, a Zionist blog. It’s the kind of political pledge that the Nazis tried to impose on many churches (including the Catholic church), and was often successful in enforcing. I make no defense of the individual Catholics, including some priests who cooperated with the Nazis. Certainly, there were some who resisted; other cooperated, willingly or not. God will have to judge their actions.
I urge every Catholic to send a letter to the Vatican, citing this activity, and requesting the Pope to take action against this mis-use of the Mass.
A good guide to how to send mail to him is linked here.
I’ve put a link to a generic document here – it’s only 1 page – apparently, short letters are better. Replace The date, Your Name, and Your Address with your information, print, and send to Francis’s home outside the papal apartments (which he generally does not use).
Let a Million Letters be Sent!
This is America 21st century after all. Can you really be surprised when the Pope himself welcomes Muslim refugees but rejects Christian refugees? The church has been changing in my opinion dangerously for years. In 1971 I asked a priest why they were called Father when scripture says to call no man father but your father in heaven. His response was “It’s a mystery of the church.” The church I was married in in 1972 had a guitar and drums on the Dais near the altar. In 1978 a friend of mine attended a “Pentacostal” Catholic church complete with speaking in tongues. To be honest though I have to admit I’ve never forgiven them for ending mass in Latin. I never knew what the Priest was saying but it was always comforting.
To be fair to the “pledge” it did have a version of do unto others. But otherwise it’s nothing more than woke garbage.
Not the dreaded guitar mass! Millions have suffered through this abomination!
Ah, Michel the church is an organization with two sides spiritual and temporal and is populated solely by people with all their inherent failings. It’s strayed far from it’s original mission, but that’s been true of it since it’s inception. It’ll either return or disappear, we’ll see.
Oh Great one, I myself never experienced the abomination myself deciding not to return to a Catholic Church that would do such a thing. My journey away started when they went to English from Latin and I severed ties formally in 1976. I was never so glad as when I heard about the Pentecostal version. At least until the current Pope that is.
I’m still of the opinion the previous Pope was forced out by the Liberationists. Considering you have the Liberation Theology on the inside and the Leftists and Islamists on the outside and seemingly nobody trying to save the church. I would say the outlook is bleak.
Michel,
I also think the (retired) Pope was forced out by the Lefties (Lib. Theo.). The Church has been in a lot worse shape and came back. But nothing is forever, nothing. Look at this way, 800 yrs ago if you stepped out of line the Church and the Secular authorities working hand in hand would come after you. First you might suffer a rather gruesome fate (burned alive) by the Secular boys then the Church would damn you for eternity. At least now death is recognized as a release, then not so much. The World is changing fast and drastically (like 1500) very few if anyone knows where it’s going.
Just saw a clip of the closing Prayer/Pledge at St. Francis Xavier. It’s even worse in when heard live. If that’s the way of the modern Catholic Church I would say join the Orthodox Church.
Try it again: Rick Rescorla
Sennacherib
I know of Rick and his service and Sacrifice. What does that have to do with the Prayer/Pledge?
Nothing Michel, just the day.
Thanks for the reminder about Rick.
You’re welcome, he was a one of a kind.
Unitarian? That’s like taking a shower without getting wet. Meh.
The Church of St. Francis Xavier are Jesuits. They’ve been a thorn in the sides of mainstream Catholics for years now. Most of us ignore them. But Red Francis has really been pissing a lot of people off, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he tried to float this to the entire flock.

Definetely worth the time to read though it is long.
The Pope strikes again. Decrying free markets and calling for redistribution of wealth.
“Please respond yes”. What the…
NO
I thought Thales had a column here.
In fairness, as another commenter points out, it’s a Jesuit run church. I would not be surprised to see a schism of the Jesuit faction of the church and the more conservative wing. The only question is, where goes Rome? Given Francis’s Jesuit background, don’t count on any intervention from Rome on these pledges. It’s not coming.
