Over the years, I’ve met several individuals of immense capacity for logical deduction, genuinely impressive education, and sky-high IQ (we’re talking well north of 160). Many of these people have an almost supernatural ability that seems, to the merely mortal, to allow them to discover the truth rapidly and definitively – and in such a manner as to prevent any seemingly-reasonable argument to the contrary.
If you are not one in a million and blessed with this combination, you might need a heuristic to filter out the bullshit that permeates the Internet – a place that contains almost the sum of all human knowledge mixed prodigiously with the sum of all human stupidity.
The Six Filters for Truth
Scott Adams, in his book How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, has an effective heuristic he calls The Six Filters for Truth. They are as follows:
- Personal experience.
- Experience of people you know.
- Experts.
- Scientific studies.
- Common sense.
- Pattern recognition.
Each one of these has glaring flaws when individually given precedence over the others. Personal experience can be iffy and unreliable. People you know could be stupid. Experts could be dishonest, incompetent, or saying whatever the bankroll wants them to. Scientific studies are great at answering very specific questions – but correlation is not causation. Common sense is a great way to be wrong with supreme confidence and, in any event, as the saying goes – it is not so common. Pattern recognition could incorporate personal bias or be coincidental.
However, if something is consistent in several of those bullet points, but one is completely different, it is reasonable to suspect the different one might be bullshit.
One of pop culture’s favorite examples of bullshit is the Tobacco Industry, which once denied cigarettes caused harm, and funded sympathetic or conflicting studies. Yet if someone had bothered to check the Six Filters for Truth, they probably would have seen through that right away. When you see people you know coughing, getting sick, etc., and they are chain smokers, you can check #2. If you smoked yourself and suffered these issues, you could also check #1. #5 is great because just thinking through breathing smoke into your lungs would have raised the thought “maybe this isn’t the most healthy thing to do.” #6 goes into noticing that old people who smoked a lot generally had various unpleasant problems.
So even if the Tobacco Industry funded experts and studies – and their opponents funded other studies and experts (effectively rendering #3 and #4 a tie), you could say reasonably “eh, the Tobacco Industry is probably full of shit.”
The Internet is Full of Shit
Google – and by extension, the Internet it searches – creates a number of conflicts for #3 and #4. One of the most famous examples of this the dispute over minimum wage. Scott Alexander at SSC touches on this briefly:
“At some point in their education, most smart people usually learn not to credit arguments from authority. If someone says “Believe me about the minimum wage because I seem like a trustworthy guy,” most of them will have at least one neuron in their head that says “I should ask for some evidence”. If they’re really smart, they’ll use the magic words “peer-reviewed experimental studies.
But I worry that most smart people have not learned that a list of dozens of studies, several meta-analyses, hundreds of experts, and expert surveys showing almost all academics support your thesis – can still be bullshit.
Which is too bad, because that’s exactly what people who want to bamboozle an educated audience are going to use.”
There is no definitive answer to this question that can be easily and casually proven. Many complex issues are like this. They are not monocausal. There are so many second-order effects of a decision that it’s almost impossible to work out beforehand just what will happen. The minimum wage is like that. But on a meta level, many issues are like this.
In other words, for many of the most intensely debated political issues, at least by midwits on social media, filters #3 and #4 are muddied so much as to be inconclusive. That was the purpose of the Tobacco Industry funding competitive research: to muddy the expert opinion waters. Falling back on the other filters provided a reasonable answer, however – it was probably harmful, just look at your cousin who has lung cancer or something. An answer that eventually turned out to be right once the Tobacco Industry gave up its war.
Cigarette smoking was, however, a relatively easy one. Issues like Minimum Wage, Global Warming, etc… are much more difficult to resolve and may never be conclusively answered the way cigarette smoking (eventually) was.
Google statistics, studies, and experts on almost any subject. You will get results sympathetic to your argument, ones against your position, and everything in between. If you’re a social media normie, you might get in a spat with your cousin’s friend about Global Warming and start a cycle of posting sympathetic sources, and in turn try to come up with ways to dismiss your opponent’s sources. Perhaps, your opponent suggests, your sources are funded by evil oil companies. You then point out that his studies come from government grants, and we all know the government wants more power.
You can go down that road forever. Nothing will come of it.
For your personal belief, you will have to employ other truth filters. For convincing your cousin’s friend, it’s hopeless, and it’s a waste of time to try.
Experts Are Not Equally Trustworthy
Tom Nichols – a man who loves to pontificate on why people should trust the experts (on everything) – frequently likes to compare to airline pilots. Generally speaking, airline pilots are very qualified, and we trust them to fly us safely all the time. So, in his thinking, we should ascribe similar levels of trust to, say, foreign policy experts.
This stems from a misconception: the notion that experts in one domain are equally honest and competent as experts in another.
If you employ the truth filtering, you’ll quickly realize how false that is.
Yes, we trust airline pilots a lot. There are common folk wisdoms about it, like “flying is safer than driving” – folk wisdoms that happen to be true – and they check box #5. You can check box #2 in that, in all probability, you do not know anyone who personally died in an airliner due to pilot error. Your personal experiences with flying were probably good too. Box #1.
If you were so inclined, you could research box #4 and find out that statistically, airliners don’t crash very often. In fact, airlines are great in that you can usually check all six boxes. Tom, of course, wants you to think that all experts can be treated so graciously.
Apply the same thinking to another field of experts: auto mechanics.
Dear reader, I bet you are already feeling a bit skeevy at that. Most of us have probably encountered dumb and/or dishonest auto mechanics. I bet you have stories from friends about folks getting screwed by a local wrench turner. Local media loves to do exposes on auto mechanic dishonesty, overcharging, and incompetence. Yes, auto mechanics probably know more than most of my readers about fixing cars, but only an idiot would trust them the same way as an airline pilot.
As bad as auto mechanics can be, however, politicians are probably worse. Sure, they are probably more knowledgeable about the inner workings of politics than you are. This does not mean it is advisable to trust them.
There is a bit of Motte & Bailey Fallacy in Tom Nichols’ arguments. When he says “trust the experts” he trots out the nice, well groomed, hyper-competent airline pilot. But what he really means is for you to listen to whatever experts thought the Afghanistan pull out strategy was great or endorsed Janet Reno’s Waco strategy. It’s an “experts can do no wrong” argument dressed up in the best possible clothing.
One of my own personal heuristics here is to ascribe more trust to experts in the physical sciences and in engineering than I do in the soft sciences. For instance, I am more likely to trust a physicist or an aeronautical engineer than a sociologist or a political science expert. There is less wiggle room for bullshit when your plane either flies, or crashes in a burning pile of rubble.
Man Made Global Warming
So just what do you do when presented with issues that defy easy resolution, but which have immense political power backing them? It’s clear that most powerful world governments (China excepted – which I find personally hilarious) want to employ various Global Warming mitigation strategies, most of which involve curtailing freedoms and raising taxes.
Let’s say that, like me, you find this a bit too convenient (in a Tobacco Industry research kind of way) and also do not like curtailing freedoms and raising taxes as a general rule. Good luck proving the experts wrong – you won’t be able to.
Of course, that doesn’t make them right either. Yet how can you oppose the political power backing such things without clear cut proof of error? You might employ the filters for truth and come to the conclusion that the experts are full of shit, but a good portion of that list relies on anecdote which as we’ll touch on later, doesn’t work very well when convincing others.
For one, you can’t win that fight. A thousand victories in social media debates with your cousin’s second roommate will not move the political needle. Either the politicians have the power to get what they want, or they don’t. That’s very orthogonal to whether or not the underlying position is true.
For the most part, I generally believe data that suggests the Earth has been warming in the last century or so. That is because this is a mostly physical science exercise. Obtain temperatures at various places around the world over a long period of time and compare these values, perform some math, average things out… and yeah, sure, you could probably get a general sense for temperature.
Causality, however, is an entirely different business. The pop culture narrative, generally supported by most major governments, is that this is predominately man made, that it is way out of line with prehistorical temperatures, and that this is a major crisis which will have terrible impacts, justifying all manner of government interventions.
All of those I find much more suspect. The Earth is so complex, I am inherently suspicious of anything predominantly monocausal, especially if it aligns with government interests. The latter is a source of confusion for me, at times. Political Leftists are often suspicious of large corporate interests but are prepared to believe big government. On top of that, all the doom and gloom is confusing, at times. Certainly, rising temperatures will have various costs, drawbacks, and problems. But it also probably has benefits. Off the top of my head, it probably means more arable land.
Of course, I’m not saying it’s a good thing, overall, either. I don’t know. I’m willing to generally trust the experts taking the temperature readings, but the various models and political conclusions from those models, and the blame assignment, those I am skeptical on.
It’s not very scientific, but those folks remind me a bit of the auto mechanics. Certainly not the airline pilots. In any case, the complexity of the issue renders most conclusions about it probably little better than guesses.
Anecdotal Evidence
Anecdotal evidence can be both the strongest form of evidence, and the weakest. For yourself, if you experience a thing, that is strongly persuasive to you, personally. But its power to convince others is usually quite weak. This is a major kind of disconnect in more formalized debates. You can know a thing to be true, to a very high degree of certainty, but be completely unable to prove it to someone else. To observers watching the debate, it would then appear that your opponent is probably more right than you are.
Sometimes folks – usually midwits – will repeat the mantra “anecdotal evidence is the weakest form of evidence!” They probably heard about it in some class, or read it in a social media post, and it struck them as clever in a midwit sort of way. But the phrase’s conclusion really only applies to formal debate.
In truth, your anecdotal experiences can be valuable, or can be bullshit. It depends greatly on the circumstances. Let’s say you were one of the rare people that lost a loved one in an airline crash or something. You might say “airline pilots are incompetent assbags.” You’d be full of shit, and the anecdotal experience led you wrong. But if you go through the filters for truth, you’d realize that 5 of the filters said “airline pilots are great” and only one – YOU – suggested that they sucked. In all probability, then, it is you who is wrong.
But let’s take a more contemporary example. I’ve read several news articles and statements from politicians suggesting that either inflation is completely within norms, or is hardly even there at all, or if it is there, it’s a good thing and your salaries are surely keeping up.
Okay. We have the expert opinion. What about anecdotes? I’ve seen prices on almost everything I buy on a regular basis go up by significant amounts. Very little – if anything – has gone down. Nor has my salary gone up during this period. Maybe that’s just me, right? So, I talk to friends and family. Nope, they are seeing the same things I am seeing. Pattern recognition is saying it too. In fact, everything except the experts says this is probably happening.
In that case, anecdote is a great data point (among others) to suggest maybe the experts are full of shit. It’s not always effective, but the six filters are a great heuristic. If one is out of line with the rest, you’re probably dealing with bullshit. And if that one out of line with everything else is you, then maybe it’s you who is full of shit.
Information Overload
The Internet is wonderful in many ways. So much knowledge and experience are buried in it. But Sturgeon’s Law still applies: 90% of everything is crap. The Internet is vast. When you consider that most of it is probably porn, and 90% of the remainder is probably bullshit, you are left with very little truly useful content, as a percentage.
Maybe it does contain almost the sum of all human knowledge. But this is like sifting through a landfill for valuables. They probably exist. But it might be wise to have some techniques and quick filters to make wading through the muck easier. And the bigger the landfill gets, the harder it might be to find what you’re looking for.
Sometimes I wonder if going back to books might become a thing again. For a while, it was easier to find a how-to on, say, fixing your specific car’s problem by Googling it. You would find more information, how-to videos, and documentation than you ever could in the Chilton Manual. Furthermore, you could usually get to the specific problem a lot faster. Perhaps you wanted to recharge the A/C and just needed to find the recharge port.
But eventually it may become hard enough to find all of that information, wading through all the clickbait, bullshit, long-winded videos, spam, and morons who think they understand the problem, that a return to just buying the manual might be easier. Perhaps many other knowledge domains are like this, and it would be easier to buy a book, or secure a membership to a website or something specific to that knowledge domain – one that is scoured of bullshit – than to use more generalized Internet searches.
For political issues, maybe we’re already there. Whatever lunatic position someone might have, there’s probably support for it from some corner of the Internet, from some expert or authority of some kind. It’s another problem with Tom Nichols and his take on expertise: which experts should you trust? He clearly has an idea of which ones he trusts and expects you to come to the same conclusion. Those largely consist of the politically connected and powerful experts, those who have been endorsed by the ruling body. That’s his path out of the Internet muck: trust the powerful. Whether this is out of principle or submission and cowardice, I can’t say, though I’d probably guess the latter.
Personally, if the experts are a confused mess of conflicting opinions, I usually just scratch that off the list and look for another way to filter for probable truth, knowing always that there’s a good chance I’m still wrong. But, in the manner of Socrates, maybe I’m slightly less dumb for realizing that.
I use verifiable facts when possible to check experts. The end result conclusion is experts are either charlatans or grifters or both.

Search minimum wage 1969 (year I started working) 1987 (year I left Detroit area for rural life) in todays dollars compared to current minimum
Minimum was 1.60hr in 1969. Do the same for gas prices Detroit avg. gas price was $.35gal in 1969. My car had a 20gal gas tank cost $7.50 to fill. Essentially couch change.

As one of the world’s greatest polymaths, I look to my own ideas and experiences for Truth.
😉
It should be a lesson to all places and times that one of the brightest individuals ever to walk the Earth is most famous for saying, “Only one thing do I know, and that is that I know nothing.” “Experts” in all fields, take note.
@Francis – Seneca? Aristotle?
Wondering who said that.
My guess is Einstein, not sure but I have heard that before.
Dunning-Kruger Effect in action:
Notice – Jacques Pepin is indeed a fine, fine chef/cook. But he’s strayed out of his area of expertise – he’s making an ITALIAN dish.
Yes, the dish is supposed to be very simple. Notice how he, as a Frenchman, is fucking it up?
Too many ingredients.
Redundancies and exaggerations – too much stuff, using scallions AND onions AND garlic.
Using ingredients incorrectly – RAW garlic? RAW onion? Only a Frog would be so dumb.
I, of course, do not make such mistakes when I cook Italian, being one myself.
In fact, even at my age, supermodels continue to try luring me into bed, my cooking impresses them so.
P.O.E., gents.

Thank you. I was about to do the smart thing and look it up myself.
Here’s socrates actually saying it:
Got the first reminder of the season that I must do more to prepare for catastrophic disaster 4:00am Thursday when the power went out for four hours. Fortunately the winter storm had ended and the temp was rising to an unseasonal 50 degrees. so We didn’t have to fire up the wood cookstove. Still need to come up with the money for the handpump well, about 5k or more. 40 years ago I wouldn’t have worried. Now however I’m sure the worst my twisted imagination can come up with will happen sooner rather than later.
Other than that we are having a reasonably well Christmas time as I hope all of you are.
Have no fear, M squared.
I’m here to save the day.

And now, a REAL classic:
And ANOTHER classic, from someone ELSE from my turf:
Here’s a decent read:
Victor Davis Hanson has a thoughtful and intelligent take on the Corporate Press/Wokeist Zombie Horde/Dhimmicrat continuing obsession with the non-event of 1/6:
https://pjmedia.com/columns/victor-davis-hanson/2021/12/23/please-stop-the-coup-porn-n1543876
I see it a bit differently from VDH, though.
As far as I’m concerned, all this hyperventilation about the 1/6 non-coup is a psy-op. There is an unspoken, underlying theme from the Corporate Press/Wokeists/Dhimmicrats that amounts to the following:
“If we lose our grip on the WH and Congress, we will conduct a coup to maintain our power and are preemptively blaming our enemies in advance for it.”
This leads me to conclude that 2022 will be much worse than 2021. The Leftists (and, more importantly, their financiers & masters) are playing for keeps. It’s a zero sum game for them, which means it is for us as well. Some of you may balk at that idea, but when you think it over, you’ll see the inescapable truth of it.
My mother and father experienced the Great Depression and WW2. Mom very nearly died when she was buried alive in a bombing raid in Italy during the war. They experienced a world falling into chaos during their youth.
I never imagined something similar might confront me in my lifetime. But these things tend to follow cycles of about 100 years or so.
My guess is that the Left is already planning ways to rig the 2022 midterms so that they either maintain their position or expand it, particularly in the Senate. But it might be harder to pull off this time. Even the party faithful who vote zombie-like for the dhimmicrats might balk at repeating the 2020 shenanigans in the districts where they are assigned as polling station workers.
I’m going to speculate that there are backup plans as well. These plans might include targeted assassinations of enemy political figures in the legislative and judicial branches along with enemy media figures. Beyond that, there may be plans to use the military and security/”law enforcement” services to “impose order” to “restore/save American democracy.”
I doubt their planning in any of these scenarios is based on reality, as the operatives on the Left have amply demonstrated their lack of a firm grip on such. But I have no doubts that their planning is utterly ruthless and unscrupulous.
What they do with the kung flu panic in the new year will be a clue. If they continue to up the ante to drive ever greater social separation/isolation, fear and paranoia, it will suggest that they are very, very close to extreme measures to ensure the continuation of their power. The supply chain thing is worth watching as well, and closely. I am under the impression that the powers-that-be are exploring ways to manipulate it to their benefit.
Ammo situation appears to have (at least temporarily) improved in my neck of the woods. There is clearly an abundant overstock of 9×19 and .223, and .308 seems to be very close to reaching that as well, along with .40 S&W, 10mm and .45ACP. I’m even seeing some .38 special and .357 appearing on the shelves and staying there for more than a day.
I’m not wearing a tinfoil hat, gents. I reject such lines of thought as repulsive. Just calling it the way I’m perceiving it.
I have some regrets posting my previous post – it’s in the wrong spirit for the season.
Merry Christmas, everyone 🙂
Found on Instapundit: Nine reasons why Die Hard really is a Christmas movie. Glenn Reynolds sub lead: It’s really a Harry Potter movie. I mean he sneaks around a tower trying to avoid Alan Rickman.
On that note I leave you with the Immortal words of the Red Baron to Snoopy, Merry Christmas my friend(s).
I raise.
Airline pilots are different in that they have “skin in the game”, if the plane goes down, they go down with it. Auto mechanics at least risk getting a bad reputation. Economists and foreign policy advisors never seem to suffer any negative consequences from being wrong. A scientist on the public payroll had better be in agreement with his/her paymasters.
Pretty good vid punching a LOT of holes in the kung flu paranoia:

I believe I have the alternative solution to national divorce or civil war. It’s simple but maybe impossible to implement.
Old style pre Civil war Federalism or at least the version we had pre 1913.
Oh, I agree, M Squared. That could work for me.
BUT: the Deep State, the Wokeists/Cultural Marxists, the Dhimmicrats and the Power Brokers will have none of it. They’re not going to give up any of the power they’ve gained, and they want much more.
On a different note:
I consider this one of the coolest things I’ve seen all year –
It’s in somebody’s back yard in Maine. If I had a back yard with a treeline like that, I’d be doing the same. I like having critters around – it makes me feel like everything is right with the world somehow.
I’ve got that treeline. My wife puts out feed where we normally dump scratch for the chickens right outside the back door. Usually even the presence of dogs in the run don’t bother the deer. We get to much snow for the trough to work but instead we get rabbits and birds to watch in addition to deer right outside the dining room window. In the fall we get to watch the deer come get the apples that fall from the trees which are conveniently also right outside the dining room window.
Life is grand when you can live in the sticks.
Good on you, M Squared.
Having critters in the back yard is a blessed thing.
Where I am, there are no deer – it’s too desert-like. But there are quail, rabbits, roadrunners and lots of birds, including hummingbirds. I keep the hummingbird feeder out all year long, and amazingly enough the little fellas stick around over the winter.
Next place I want to live needs to be greener. Don’t want to go back up north, though – winter is far less enjoyable now than it was in my yute.
This is another splendidly cool channel – check this shit out:
N E 1 who doesn’t like this is a shiney hiney rump gaucho.
In three and a half months I’ll be 70. In Michigan’s upper the winters are harsh wood heat is fairly cheap and the barbarians will never make it if things fall apart in winter. Besides where there’s heat there’s roaches, rats and poisonous snakes to say nothing about bumper crops of ticks. We have ticks but not hoards. We have dive bombers instead. Reconditioning and improv vids are definitely cooll.
Check it out.

Good find, M squared.
I believe at this juncture,,,,It Has Already Begun.
Much of what I link is from Instapundit, Frontpage Mag and the Blaze. The rest are mostly my ramblings triggered by what I’ve read and whatever percolates into my conscious that I think is relevant. Unfortunately I’m not that eloquent or I’d actually write a post.
Holy CRAP:
I’ve had the kung flu.
I haven’t taken the vax and I will NOT take it.
Seems I have made a wise choice.
My wife and I have age and comorbidity considerations so we got the one dose once we have determined once is enough knowing how virus’ evolve and considering the the abject stupidity of the way politicians and so called experts have handled it. That and the fact her Imperial Majesty has banned Ivermectin and Hydro from use as treatment or therapeutics.
We do however use OTC supplements as preventatives.
Death to mandates and lockdowns.
Yo M Squared,
Understood. I understand and respect the logic behind your decisions.
Watch this as well. There’s some good statistics in here and references. You can safely conclude that not everyone has a bad reaction to the vax, but a non-zero set of people do, and the reactions are VERY serious, with potentially grave long term implications.
https://odysee.com/@Bombards_Body_Language:f/DrBhackti:3
You can also tell from the data that more than 1 dose is unwise, and increasingly so with every extra dose.
For people who are taking the booster shots, they are exposing themselves to very profound future health hazards. Over the next 5 years, we’re going to see this play out in the medical system. And those responsible NEED. TO. BE. DRAWN. AND. QUARTERED.
Side note:
Taken in moderation as supplementary nutritional sources, there is much positive to be said about red wine, chocolate and espresso. Us Italians are generally happy people for good reason. 😉
Extra Side Note:
In order to spread some cheer in these difficult times, I am prepared to share my family’s secret Lasagna recipe. Anyone interested, just let me know. As a hint – there’s no ricotta in this recipe….
WHOA – from the comments in the Odysee vid above:
“The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone.
They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.
They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it.
They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide.
They are literally killing off who they used to be.
Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these Men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives.
They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.
TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy… but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the Men who just wanted to be left alone.”
For religious reasons we don’t drink wine or any form of coffee (yes I know espresso is more energy drink than coffee) However it is hazardous to come between me and chocolate.
I am not of the leave me alone tribe I am of the LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE tribe.
My wife is a cookaholic Recipe please.
LOL!
OK, one lasagna recipe coming up.
1 lb lasagna leaves (De Cecco, Bartoli are both good choices. I prefer flat over ruffled, but it makes little difference.) (I also prefer the pre-cooked. Lightly wet them before using.)
2 carrots
2 sticks of celery
1 big onion
1/3 cup butter
3 cups milk (whole)
1/3 cup flour
pepper
nutmeg
salt
Parmigiano (get the whole slabs and grind yourself – the pre-ground stuff is for jihadists, wokeists and other vermin)
1/2 cup red wine (not white – that’s for california chicks who pose as dainty but could stand to lose 20-30lbs)
3/4 lb ground beef
3/4 lb ground pork
1 can whole tomatoes (San Marzano is best – for the love of everything sacred don’t get Hunt’s)
1/6 cup olive oil (get the good stuff, ffs…)
Quality of ingredients is what matters here.
The filling for the lasagna layers is going to be ragu, bechamel and parmigiano.
First, Ragu:
pre-cook the meat with the olive oil. Add the celery (chopped), carrots (chopped) and onion (chopped.)
Cook this together until it’s relatively dry (not baked, just not really liquidy.) You’re basically trying to absorb the liquid and cook off any excess. Add the wine. Cook a bit til the vino is absorbed.
Add a dash of salt, then put in the tomatoes (crush or dice them first.) (Don’t be lazy and simply buy diced tomatoes – they ruin the taste as well as a man’s Purity of Essence.)
Bring to a boil, then just simmer for 1 hour. COVER IT – this time you want to retain the moisture.
Bechamel:
Warm the milk in a sauce pan (non-stick.) Add the butter and melt it. Remove pan from heat, mix in the flour. Return to LOW heat and keep this just on the edge of a boil. Mix this stuff more or less continually until it changes color towards a bit of a darker cream color (not pure white.) Again, you need to mix this so it doesn’t boil and it doesn’t stick. That will RUIN the bechamel. Shouldn’t take more than a half dozen minutes or so.
(Those of you with a thermomix can do it more easily – follow the thermomix recipe.)
Add a dash of salt, a dash of pepper, and a dash of nutmeg. Mix and remove from heat. Voila!
Building the lasagna:
Get out the right size of baking dish (I use a rather large one – 5 quarts) and put one ladle of ragu as the base. Place the first layer of lasagna leaves, then a layer of bechamel, a layer of ragu and a good sprinkling of parmigiano. Cover with lasagna leaves and repeat until you top off with a layer of leaves and one final ragu layer on top.
Cooking varies by geography (humidity, altitude, temp), baking dish depth and ovens. Roughly speaking, you should count on about 30 minutes to cook this, maybe 35.
If you haven’t cut any corners, you now have a lasagna the Gods of Olympus would envy. From now on, you will look upon ricotta-based lasagna as cuisine for wokeist commie faggots.

Ladies, Gentlemen and Space Aliens,
This sounds to me like the Corporate Press is ‘preparing the battle space’ so that the Dhimmicrat Party (and their behind-the-scenes Masters) can take whatever action they deem necessary – including violence – to nullify any GOP electoral gains in 2022 and/or 2024:
https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/kyle-drennen/2022/01/04/cbs-warns-gop-midterm-wins-one-top-global-risks-2022
Not trying to be an alarmist, but to be candid, I’m expecting any shooting to start from the Left.
This just reinforces the above post:
https://www.mediaite.com/tv/watch-ana-navarro-says-donald-trump-was-illegitimately-elected-in-2016-during-wild-rant-on-the-view/
If this becomes “The Narrative”, it means the Left is prepared to do ANYTHING to overturn 2022 and 2024 election results.
Yup – it’s becoming The Narrative.
https://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/kyle-drennen/2022/01/03/tur-fears-next-election-wont-be-fair-hopes-2024-contingency-plan
Over on Tom Kratman’s Lines of Departure blog way back in 2015/16 we discussed on more than one occasion the possibility and likelihood of a shooting war in this country. Some of the young bucks were eager. I repeatedly stressed the horrors and the necessity of avoiding trying to shoot our way out of our current differences. Among those were the opportunity to settle petty differences by bloodshed, political ethnic cleansing along with the rape, burning and pillaging which are standard in these conflicts. Less anyone forgets famine and plague (the real kind) are also part and parcel to these conflicts. See pictures of Sarajevo and Beirut for an example and magnify nation wide. No one will be safe. My actual nightmares about this are much worse than I will willingly describe here.
If these idiots do what is implied by these articles expect a very ugly Christmas 2022.
As always pray feverishly my nightmares stay just that.
Yo M Squared,
Yeah, I agree with you 100%. I absolutely don’t want this to become hot. I simply suspect, with a good 90% certainty, that the Left will carry things that far and embrace it eagerly.
They’re fucking stupid. Too childish to understand what a cataclysm it will be. I’m figuring that I won’t survive such an event – I’m old and untrained. The nation, though, will never be the same afterwards, and it will take a century or more for the scars to get covered over.
If you don’t own a gun buy one, if you do, practice. Some people burn through 200 rounds a month at the range.
Remember 9 of the ten deadliest snipers were hunters. Add Sgt. York even though he didn’t kill a lot he did capture 123 enemy single handed. Good movie by the way even if the Turkey shoot scene is pure fiction it does make the point.
If you don’t live rural get rural. I live 45 minutes to an hour from Wal Mart depending on the route I take which is depending on the weather. As I speak we are having the fourth major snowstorm of the season. We have wood as backup heating and cooking. 10 cords of wood in 8ft logs runs around 1k that’s enough for a winter were it sometimes reaches -20. Like said I live far enough out the hordes from major cities won’t make it if they have to walk or it’s winter and they stop plowing streets.
Store food. Mormans are counseled to have a years supply on hand. Most don’t or they have a freezer full of meats. When we lived in Tennessee we lived 10 miles from a nuke plant and you wouldn’t believe the number of times a year we went without power (poor tree trimming).
Some claim renewables is the way. It’s not. Sometimes there’s no sun and the wind doesn’t blow at the same time and those deep discharge batteries are expensive.
The big killer if you’ve done all the above would be medical conditions that require regular use of meds.
Reading list to help get an idea of the problems faced in SHTF collapse.
Alas Babylon, Tech is old but immaterial, a good read.
Lucifer’s Hammer
Earth Abides, I just threw that one in because the plague is so catastrophic it simplifies survival but it was an enjoyable read.
Firearms – check. Ammo out the wazoo, more than enough for a sustained period.
1 year food – check, supplemented by fruit & nut trees & a garden.
Extra water sources – check.
Medicines – check, barring extreme illness/injury.
Energy – check. Wood, charcoal, propane, gasoline, generator.
Nearest walmart is about 25 minutes. I’m rural, but the county has a substantial population – about 200k. It’s a rather large county, though, lots and lots of open country with farms, ranches and pure wilderness (roughly 2500 square miles.) Very likely one of the most heavily armed counties in the nation – hunting is big here, and nearly everyone has multiple firearms (especially rifles.) DEEP red.
Still doubt I’d survive a civil war, though. My health is good – no major problems. But I’m not young any more – well into middle age and about to be a genuine senior. There’s things I simply cannot do anymore because of accumulated injuries, and everything heals slow.
I know how to use my firearms and still go to the range, but that’s obviously not equivalent to genuine training. When the shooting starts, I sincerely doubt I’ll live to see the end of it. Too old, not a soldier.
So be it. The world has changed too much for me. All that I loved and treasured most of all is gone.
If the forces of good triumph and, by some miracle, I actually live to see it, it’s unlikely that world will still be ‘mine.’ Thus, I await my end as productively as I can. Mom and Dad would have wanted me to make the most of the time I have left. I dearly hope to see them again. Barring that, I will at least join them.

INTERESTING! Good find, M squared!
Looks like it’s beginning to turn into some sort of pro-ivermectin and HCQ wave. Good news.
Real men are finally stepping forward and bitch-slapping the Corporate Press and the CDC for their fear-mongering hysteria and propaganda.
The CDC and the Corporate Press are starting to look gayer than….even THIS:
Holy thunderfarts – look at this:
https://amgreatness.com/2022/01/05/poll-majorities-of-republicans-and-democrats-say-the-u-s-is-in-a-state-of-decay/
This sounds to me like a nation on the verge of a revolution. All it needs is one spark.
What would that spark be? I welcome opinions and viewpoints on this question from the many millions of posters here. Preference, however, will be given to good looking chicks.
If 61% of Dems think US is in a state of decay then they should be voting to throw the bums out. In reality you couldn’t get odds of any kind in Vegas that will happen. Let see them vote out these Soros backed DAs who think the only criminal is the victim who resists.
On a brighter note you should be able to get an illegal gun in NYC shot the bad guy and claim you did it because the bad guy disrespected you. It’s just a misdemeanor yes?
From a long time ago, when things weren’t easy at all, but were distinctly better – and far more honest – than today.
These boys understand – and they got it 50 fuckin’ years ago.
Ooooooh, yeah…..
I’m at the moment sorting thru an excel DB with over 500k line items and pivot tables are not helping much. So I have pandora playing very quietly in the background and just heard this:
By the way:
I noticed that none of YOU have posted a recipe to counter the exquisite, sublime excellence of mine.
Something tells me that none of you have what it takes.
There – the glove is thrown…….. 😉

Yup – the Left continues to shape the battle space for November:
https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2022/01/07/why-is-the-left-suddenly-talking-about-a-second-civil-war-n440042
Notice the link to the Guardian article, which states that one of the biggest problems is the Constitution and that it needs to be scrapped in its entirety.
The quote from the Politico article and the conclusions of the main article itself show that on both left and right, there are pundits who don’t understand what’s happening and what’s coming. I suspect a majority of citizens are in the same mental state as well.
If I remember correctly only ten to twenty percent of the population fought in the revolution or even supported it. So a majority being unaware isn’t surprising. Enough do to cause all the grief anyone could want. The rest are just sheeple.
Stupid thing dropped my name.
Coming up on the end of snow storm number five for the season. Two days of continuous fine grained snow near zero temps and thirty mph winds. Not the worst I’ve seen but a contender.
Don’t believe your lying eyes, M Squared. You’re actually living in the tropics now because of GlowBull WarmBling, and very soon your property will be underwater….
😉
My granddaughter tested positive for Fau Chi flu today. Also found out a lot of 11th and 12th graders are out with it. First we heard of it in the school at this magnitude.
My wife and I had the J&J vax last March. Hospital says we don’t need another shot? Did they get the ok from the Great God Fau Chi?
Sounds to me like your home state is starting to let common sense return, M Squared. 🙂
Here there’s still a very small number of people who wear masks out in public – almost exclusively the elderly, who can be excused, but occasionally some stupid broad and her kids if they’re with her. But it’s rare to see anyone out and about with the face diaper, and they are at least aware enough to keep their fuckin’ mouths shut around the many of us who don’t bother with that fearmongering fuckery. You won’t hear any of that virtue signalling “PUT YOUR MASK ON!!!” bullshit around these parts.
Good news – the .357 Mag and .38 special availability is just beginning to loosen up around here. Got me 3 boxes of 20 with 110gr SJHP .357 Mag today. There’s so much 9×19, .223 and .308 in the stores now that they’re beginning to have sales.
And now, we return once again to the Arts:
Funny you should pot that particular video.
A report from Oregon State University says certain compounds in hemp could help prevent Fau Chi flu.

I think we need to talk about the following:
https://nypost.com/2022/01/15/dr-faucis-financial-disclosure-shows-10-4m-in-investments/
Some things to consider –
I have worked in high technology for over 30 years now. It’s paid well. Some of the companies for whom I have worked prospered, and I made pretty good coin on stock options. However, I never made that kind of money. The only people I know who have amassed such wealth in Silicon Valley are people who have made a killing in either their startup company’s IPO or were hired when their company was small and it grew like a weed, making their stock options explode. Even then, $10.4M is something of a rarity in Silicon Valley (that’s a LOT of money.)
I don’t envy a man his wealth and earnings. If you’ve done better than I, that’s good on you. But how does a life-long government administrator accumulate that kind of wealth?
I can understand a very capable chief executive/president achieving such rewards – someone like Eisenhower. But THIS GUY???
If any of you have had any doubts that the federal government is completely out of control and is effectively looting the country, this cannot but expel those doubts. The wealth accumulated by this functionary is what one would expect of a Mandarin bureaucrat in Imperial China before the 20th century, or a Roman Senator during the Imperium. It’s not well-earned wealth; it’s PLUNDER, GRAFT AND CORRUPTION.
Red. State. Recession.

I do believe you mean Secession. You must be watching Cheech and Chong smokin a fatty while typing. O r at lest wishing you were.
Noticed that report earlier. Not at all surprised.
Did you know his wife is in charge of ethics for his agency? Means she approved of the cruel animal experiments and the human vax experiments and his involvement in Gain of Function in Wuhan.
Means America’s very own Mengele is a duo.
By the way. Harry Reid started by working on the Nevada Liquor Commission. Never worked a real job in his life. Retired a multi millionaire. Fau Chi is typical.
OK, Conspiracy Theory Sunday:
Been seeing quite the growth of anti-biden stuff in the MSM/Corporate press, both print and broadcast. Also seeing decidedly leftist polls showing both Ice Cream Joey and Kneepads Kamala polling HORRIBLY.
It is my suspicion that there is a plan behind this. The Corporate Press wouldn’t dare say these things if it hadn’t been driven by their Masters.
Is it possible to fire a VP?
If Yes, then perhaps Joey would be told to pick a particular individual as the new VP, then be commanded to resign so that this favored pick could take his place.
Something to consider….
Might get a clue as to who such a person might be based on the Corporate Press suddenly focusing on a new ‘superstar’ of the dhimmicrat party.
If the Clintons come back into the limelight, it will be very, very worrisome….
Became suspicious yesterday and today I’m certain Fau Chi has caught me. The wus version, headache, mild sore throat and mild upper respiratory discomfort with unproductive cough. I take B complex, D3 3000 units. 1 a day 50+( didn’t like the 65+ type), 1000mg time release C in AM, garlic capsule, zinc, 2 capsules quercetin morning and evening. My 19yr old granddaughter has had it for three days higher fever worse headache and soar throat, unproductive cough. She’s tough refuses to take any supplements even though doctors here say everyone should be taking at least D3.
I rarely get sick and then only minor sinus. Being to put it mildly, obese should have me flat on my back.
Not boasting and will give God full credit.
Looks like they’re getting ready to 25th Joe. What they’re going to do with kneepads is anyone’s guess.
Yo, M2,
Rest. Lots of fluids. And I mean water, herbal tea, that kinda stuff – nothing with caffeine in it. Eat whatever you like – your appetite will tell you both how sick you are, whether or not you’re already in recovery, and what your body needs. For me, I know I’ve turned the corner on a cold or flu when I get cravings for a cheeseburger and fries.
If you know a doc who can prescribe IVermectin, get it. There is a ‘human’ form (as opposed to the much higher dose horse paste) that is used worldwide against not just parasites, but viruses as well.
I don’t think they’ll 25th Joey until they can get rid of Kneepads. She is doing worse in the polls and the press criticism has been longer and harsher. The fact that the corporate press reports frequently that she is a bully, knows nothing and never does her ‘homework’ means the cabinet (which is using Joey as a figurehead) does not like her. If the Cabinet can convince the ‘power brokers’ behind the scenes that Kneepads has to go, they’ll find someone else.
But: Congress has to IMPEACH Kneepads. There’s no other way. She can’t just be fired by Joey.
Let’s see if they do that.
By the way:
They need to do all this before november.
Unless they can cheat even more massively in the midterms than they did in 2020, the dhimmicrats will lose both the House and Senate. They need act before that.
Weekly “Bitter Clinger” post:

OMG….
Could the Dhimmicrat party and its behind the scenes power brokers be considering THIS to replace Ice Cream Joey and Kneepads???

CNN attacking Ice Cream Joey over…….ELECTION FRAUD? C N N ? ? ?
https://legalinsurrection.com/2022/01/cnn-skewers-bidens-voter-suppression-lies-yes-cnn/
Yup. They’re going to force him out before the midterms.
And I STILL think they’re going to get rid of Kneepads as well. Not sure how – maybe a sudden scandal will be fished out of her past, and behind the scenes the power brokers will offer her a ‘retirement package’ to get her to resign?
Holy shit, this is going to be a goatfuck of a year.
Moar evidence suggesting Ice Cream Joey is going to be 25th’d before the November midterms:

Something to put everyone in a serene state of mind this late january sunday afternoon:
Time to reminisce – almost 60 years ago:
From the I think I’m still relevant department, Neil Young demands Spotify drop Joe Rogan or he will pull his music from their platform.
From the dark ages of 1972 a song written for the black sploitation movie Super Fly and more relevant during the pandemic hysteria I present to you gentle people the song Pusherman.
Listen carefully and tell me what you think.
Ps, Still got it getting better. Like a bad head cold even being a fatass. My wife with multiple comorbidities feeling worse but also getting better with no hospital.
http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2022/01/pope-francis-wolf-shepards-clothing-frontpagemagcom/
Found this tidbit this morning.
Oh, I remember both this tune and the movie!
I work in a place filled with millennials. Some observations:
1. They are EXTREMELY anxious to please. The epitome of a minion – servile, conformist, eager to obey and be an eager beaver member of the ‘team.’ Standing out is bad; integrating into the group and showing everyone you’re a good NPC who is just like everyone else is paramount.
2. They embrace ‘tech’ with a missionary intensity. Whether the ‘tech’ is genuinely useful and produces beneficial results isn’t even considered. What matters is to master the new system and its intricacies and produce ever increasing volumes of output. The value of the work output is not relevant.
3. An authoritarian would look upon millennials/Gen-Y as the perfect instrument for exercising power. Millennials stay in their lane, are terrified of not being part of the group, have a desperate urge to be sheltered within a system of rules, and obey completely & unquestioningly. They are what every Soviet commissar ever dreamed of for his Moscow ministry. The commissar will never have to worry about any of his minions showing horrifying tendencies such as creativity, as independence of thought is heretical and a mortal threat to the entire system.
A vital consideration in the need to break America into Red and Blue is to separate the wheat from the chaff. Those people who are more suited to a life of obedience, regimentation and submission will naturally gravitate to the Blue. A society cannot be healthy with a preponderance of such people; it will be stale, static, uncreative and stagnant.
We need this breakup. URGENTLY.
Reading the link now, M squared 🙂
OK, I see.
I have the worst opinion of the current Pope. I know catholics who have left the church because of the evident changes. Describing the current pope as an ‘anti-Pope’ is accurate.
After reaching burnout reading news I decided to relax playing World of Warcraft and listening to my favorite song of cultural appropriation and racism, Carl Douglas Kung Fu Fighting on You Tube. What followed on the list turned out to be Curtis Mayfield Fred Is Dead then the above mentioned Pusherman. Somewhere along the way I caught the lyrics for the first time and had to listen again for verification.
That’s when it hit me the fifty year old lyrics were just as much about the vax push today as pushing dope in the 70’s
That is one song you would never want to be relevant fifty years later but it’s even more true today than it was when it was recorded.
The corruption isn’t even being hidden anymore. I’m to old, to tired and never really wanted to fight another war.
On a lighter note have you seen the Return of Super Fly? Pretty good movie.
Since it seems like the idiots are determined to get us into a super power direct confrontation it seems like a good time to dust off my play by play end of “civilization” scenario.
1) Russia invades Ukraine and fighting between Russia and NATO commences shortly thereafter. After a period of stalemate some genius thinks bombing targets in Russia will do the trick. Russia retaliates bombing targets in NATO countries. More stalemate until tac nukes are used to try to break the stalemate. Shortly there after Chinese sub launched nukes are fired at Russia and the US causing a general exchange and the greatest rivals to China to be neutralized. China meanwhile has had another terrible accident that releases another custom virus. New Zealand and Australia go into full totalitarian xenophobic lockdown and are effectively neutralized.
2) Iran and Pakistan agree to cooperate against Israel and India. Pakistan launches nukes towards Israel only to discover Israel really has nukes which they return to both Iran and Pakistan. Climate worsening rapidly.
3) China seeing no serious restraint makes there play and with no one to restrain them the India/China grudge match can finally be settled. At least until the plagues caused by millions of unburied dead, no world economy to speak of and the famine caused by the climate ruin cause their political collapse.
Bumped the enter button.
4)The elites who planned for a great reset and took a vacation to a more hospitable clime are finding their money and influence mean nothing without the complex civilization that no longer exist to support their Island retreats and the corruptocracies prevalent in most tropical areas already have overlords.
Never saw The Return of Superfly. Watching now. My God, 1990 was 32 years ago……
About the Rooshins:
I suspect they don’t actually want to go to war in Ukraine. Methinks they are simply trying to tell western europe and the USA (NATO, essentially) that they don’t want to be boxed in on their western border, and they see NATO expansion to the Baltic states and Eastern Europe (including Ukraine) as hegemonic.
To some extent, they’re right. But they are their own worst enemies. There is, as far as I’m concerned, an undercurrent in Rooshin psychology along the lines of “if you’re not expanding, you’re contracting.” There’s no middle ground with these types.
Perhaps a useful message to the Rooshins would be “OK, you want Ukraine back? That means you leave the Baltics and all of Eastern Europe alone, and you accept whatever Sweden and Finland want to do in terms of NATO membership.” I don’t know if the Rooshins will go for it, but that’s a decent proposal.
The Rooshins could eliminate all their problems in this regard if they simply said “Tell you what – let us join NATO.” Any response by NATO is upside for them – rejection means that they confirm to the world a hegemonic intent, ‘freeing’ roosha to expand in influence towards Eastern Europe and pursue efforts to reconstitute the boundaries of the old Soviet Union, while acceptance means that they are immune to military threats from any other NATO member and can actually call upon NATO for their own security needs, should they have any problems on their own extensive borders.
We shall see how it all develops.
p.s. I saw an article claiming that China’s total federal + provincial debt (which is covered by Beijing) is 883% of GDP – on the order of $116T. If this is true, China has goatfucked itself.
The whole world is looking like a collection of powder kegs at the moment.
p.p.s. I don’t know how you feel about it, M Squared, but I’m finding it difficult to get my voice heard on this board with so many thousands of other posters here…..
I’ve already spoken about this in the past:
It would be interesting to hear about reporters investigating whether these male illegals are being recruited into the Armed Forces….
First let me say I don’t think Washington is actually negotiating. More like threatening.
My proposal if I could sit down with Vlad would involve Ukraine becoming a neutral buffer between Russia and the EU/NATO. Second would agree to limiting the size of units in Baltic NATO states during training maneuvers.. Have just enough troops stationed there from US to provide a tripwire and reassure the small Baltic states. Third I would encourage Russia to make nice with Finland and Sweden so they won’t feel the need to Join NATO. I would also recommend to DC to encourage Sweden and Finland to not politically join the EU which I think the Russians fear more than NATO. Then I would suggest the Russians and US enter into secret talks concerning the threat the CCP poses to both Super Powers.
Let’s be real here. Russia may be a minor economic powerhouse but have 30,000 plus nukes and a world class sub fleet makes them a Super power.
I believe the program I have outlined would also go a long way to avoid Cuban Missiles II. Perhaps it might be able to end the current crisis in Eastern Ukraine. If we could find a skilled negotiator. Someone who knew the art of the deal.
You are probably familiar with Sam Jackson as Shaft. But have you seen Shaft 2019? They’re both listed simply as Shaft though the 2019 version is a sequel and it’s pretty funny too.
Brings to mind the following:
I knew this New York.
Grimy. Crime ridden. Decaying.
But 100x better than today.
How did you like return of Super Fly?
One of the great songs. Saw all the sequels back in the day.
Haven’t finished Return of Superfly yet, M squared. Have it saved in my YT ‘watch later’ cue, though. 🙂
We’re at 90 posts for this thread.
Remember: Thales/Dys promised whoever posts the 100th response on any of his essays gets $10k.
The last time we got to 100 I posted a suggestion we try for 200. The very next day Thales dropped a new post.
Thales if you’re paying attention, It still stands we will run this puppy up to 200 comments.
Back to movies. If you haven’t seen the Sam Jackson Shaft movies Richard Roundtree is in both as an older relative. You’ll enjoy both movies.
BTW Thales, If something were to happen to either TSW or myself (old coggers that we are) you would have to close the blog due to lack of commentary.
You really do need to get someone who can cover for you while you’re busy with your other gigs.
In fact, Thales:
You need to redouble your efforts to grow traffic here. After all, big fat cash cows like this place don’t support themselves.
Some sources for new posters of which we would approve:
Instagram (content providers only)
OnlyFans (content providers only)
Neil Young (that lonely old fart clearly needs someone to talk to…)
You’ll need to expand the capabilities of this site as well so it can support online chat and video chats.
Think you can have that done by Friday?
No pressure…..
That’s it TSW, Now we have to redouble our efforts to get 100 before Friday forget the 200 I set as a goal.
By the way. The wife went to get checked for Fau Chi flu this morning since she has a Doctors appt. next week. She’s got it. That’s two out of the three who live her tested positive so we can assume safely that what I suspected I had was the scary bug. Worst anyone has had was similar to a flu. Mine was mild flu turning into the worst sinus bug I’ve ever experienced. Fortunately it hasn’t turned into an infection, yet. The bad news is the doctor told my wife it could take two months or more to get over symptoms. Cabin fever is really gonna suck this year. Plus we’re into the third week of single digits and strong winds. Oh and let’s not forget the snows of global warming. Six plows so far and only half way through the season. Just ordered an Ariens track snow blower. It’ll be here Valentines day and can handle 21″ snow drifts. Unfortunately since everyone has the bug whoever uses it is going to have a hard time.
A great way to deal with cabin fever is to watch this kind of stuff:
It is my understanding that the greatest cause of extended fatigue from the Shanghai Shivers is its propensity to attack the lining of blood vessels. This apparently takes some effort to heal. Stock up on espresso. Remember: you want the Segafredo Intermezzo beans and a solid espresso machine (I recommend Gaggia – the successors to the super well valued Saeco brand.)

Bevis and Butthead? no, no and hell no!
Sorry Morman. No expresso. However I do indulge in the 3.99ph high potency Coke. Has the needed caffeine jolt and helps keep plaque from the arteries.
Noticed we do sleep more with this than standard flu.
The cold seems to be killing off our roosters. Found our last rooster dead this afternoon but since hens huddle together they seem to be doing fine. Been a crappy winter. first weasels now this.

I just figured out a way to make this site EXPLODE with users.
Thales/Dys – here’s what you need to do:
Code this place so that for every post that is posted on this site, it increments a bitcoin mining effort. Whoever is lucky enough to complete the mining cycle with their post gets that bitcoin.
Am I brilliant, or INSANELY brilliant?

Greenwald hits a grand slam on this one – he outlines wokeist/progressive ideology and its current manifestations as clearly as if he were channeling Yuri Bezmenov:
https://greenwald.substack.com/p/the-pressure-campaign-on-spotify?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjoxMzQ4OTgsInBvc3RfaWQiOjQ3OTA4NTEyLCJfIjoiQVRBc1MiLCJpYXQiOjE2NDM1MDEzMDcsImV4cCI6MTY0MzUwNDkwNywiaXNzIjoicHViLTEyODY2MiIsInN1YiI6InBvc3QtcmVhY3Rpb24ifQ.OUNhowUFDEk3ifxi2AKc3xAtaZF5Un-TG-7A-KYzqu0
Any individual is deemed outside the Cult and either a heretic, apostate or outright heathen if they reject or simply question to even the mildest extent the Canon/Doctrine of the Church Of Wokeness/Progressivism, and the Left will use any and all means to purge society of such ‘Unbelievers.’
I hope it’s becoming more evident to everyone that the Progressive/Woke Left is waging an all-out war against anyone and everyone who is not one of the Fanatically Faithful. And it’s got to be obvious at this point that they aren’t going to stop merely at forcing people with differing views out of the public forum.
Look at the BLM and Antifa madness in multiple cities in 2020 (and before.) Look at the 1/6 congressional ‘investigation’ committee – something straight the fuck out of a Soviet show trial. MSNBC, CNN, ‘The View’ and almost every other major and minor Progressive media outlet are right on the hairy edge of formalizing editorial space or broadcast slots for a daily Two Minute Hate – one would have to be blind to not see it at this point.
And if they don’t get there way in November by either holding onto or even expanding their power, they WILL NOT YIELD. The 2020 Antifa/BLM riots will look like a kindergarten play period by comparison when the Left brings forth all the power they can muster from federal resources, including the intelligence, security and law enforcement agencies (which, as we can see in the case of the FBI, is already well on its way to becoming a Gestapo/KGB national secret police/’interior ministry.’) They won’t hesitate to resort to mass violence if they fail at the polls (despite what will be a tsunami of blatant cheating that would shame Tammany Hall.)
I dearly hope I’m wrong, but it currently seems almost impossible that all of this doesn’t culminate in something truly horrible.
THIS is FUCKING YUUUGE:

We need this DESPERATELY.
Unfortunately we are only half way there.
Have to say this Fau Chi Flu is the strangest bug I have ever heard of or had for that matter. I used to have the flu until they came up with a real vax. I’ve had Pneumonia. I’ve read up on the great diseases of the past and their symptoms. This is strangely different. My Fau Chi Flu started as sinus congestion and mild upper respiratory discomfort with an unproductive cough. For the record I’ve had a productive sinus since my drug use years in the 70s that resulted in a productive cough in the morning.
Once this virus took hold the morning productive cough stopped. My sinus production took off like a rocket but it wasn’t like an infection but a runny nose on a cold day. One large box of Puffs every two days for a week. That slowed and a slightly productive cough developed for a week.
Now we are in round two with loss of taste and appetite. I get ravenous then when I take a normal amount of food after a few bites I have to stop. Sometime I can come back later and others finds me eating last nights leftovers for brunch. I rarely eat breakfast anymore.
Like I said earlier like nothing I’ve experienced or read about before in nature.
Natural disease my ass. More like BioWar. I’m not buying the lab leak.
Anybody got evidence otherwise I’d love to hear it.
The kung flu is very obviously bioengineered. It’s obvious that the Wuhan lab is a bioweapons lab.
I would bet that it was indeed released purely by accident – china is not yet competent on all the technologies it has stolen. My first impression was that China freaked out in late 2020 because they didn’t know what exactly had leaked and were fearful that something much worse had escaped. Now, as I see them continuing to obsess over it, I suspect that their fear is caused by the LONG TERM effects of the virus.
Behold:
https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/long-funeral-homes-short-life-insurers-ex-blackrock-fund-manager-discovers-some-disturbing
I used to think all the stuff coming from conspiracy theorists about the Flu Manchu and the vaxxes creating long term health problems was just paranoia. Now I believe them. It wouldn’t surprise me if, over the next 5 years, the vaxx takers in particular start suffering from much higher rates of cardiovascular disease, neurological disease and cancer.
Regarding the Olympics:
Xi Linping is well on his way to making his nation as hated or more so than the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany. He and his colleagues are contemptible fools. When all this backfires, it’s going to get awful for everyone, though.
WTF are we doing at the Olympics?
First Nazi Nancy tells Olympians not to say anything that might upset the CCP even after they return home.
Now apparently some Olympians are coming down with the bug and are being treated worse than 1-6 prisoners. Some are even going to miss the whole thing. Again WTF!
Go for 200!
Time for a little fun:
#108
Some MOAR!
Going full Alex on this one. Fau Chi and friends gave the Chi Coms the expertise needed to make a deadly virus that was not a species killer. It did bring the west to it’s knees with the help of the corporate/political connection.
Look who gained in power, Politicians and big Corps. Willing to bet Klaus Schwab and friends are working with Xi to divvy up the power. However the Great Honkening may just wreck their plans as it seems other countries leaders have decided the best way to keep power is go with the people on ending mandates. The only way it would have worked here is after Joe was anointed they confiscated like Swalwell wanted. That would have been disastrous as the far left likes guns as much as the right.
Considering how much Joe wants a shootout with Vlad a better vid would have been War Pigs.
Good music none the less.
War, you say?
Oh Ya!
Sounds like China’s version of the Berlin 1936 Olympics is turning into a catastrophe on all fronts:

I love it when an evil plan backfires….. 😉
In another example of Global warming expecting 1’+ of snow by Monday. Seventh plowing this season, normal is five plowings all season.
The Great Honkening grows apace. Detroit’s Ambassador bridge remains closed into Canada for the fourth day. This bridge hosts 27% of US/Canada cross border trade. Traffic is being diverted to the Blue Water bridge in port Huron 65 miles away. As of yesterday afternoon there is a 9 mile traffic jam on I-94 into Port Huron.
Meanwhile the White House starting to “become concerned” (freak out) over reports of a US convoy forming in the west.
http://www.foxnews.com/health/covid-19-seems-to-increase-risks-of-serious-heart-ailments-year-after-recovery-report
Question, are these serious heart ailments inheritable and if they are what does this forebode for survival of the species?
Not sure about inheritable. OVer time, such a damaging genetic change would be squeezed out of the gene pool, but it might take multiple generations.
This is making the rounds today – somebody that the Biden administration just hired as an official in the Dept of Energy:
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/bidens-new-doe-hire-queer-activist-who-brags-about-puppy-play-gimp-kink
Let’s reason this out:
The current ‘intelligentsia’ in the 0.1% has mostly inherited their positions of power and influence in media, government and corporate hierarchies thru the system their parents (and sometimes grandparents) set up for them: chronyism, patronage, an ‘old boy network’ and a private schooling system that credentials them. That this intelligensia is not nearly as competent and capable as those who came before them is irrelevant; the system supports, coddles and protects them from the harshness of reality and the normal consequences of failure. Their outlook on the world has been formed by this privileged upbringing, including long vacations in the Hamptons or other insulated enclaves of the 0.1% overseas, along with a strong dose of social marxism inculcated into their vacuous brain matter by liberal arts departments in elite universities to provide them with a ‘moral framework’ for excusing their narcissism, elitism and selfishness as they paternalistically ‘watch over’ society and what roles us ‘unwashed masses’ are permitted to have in the culture they define for us.
This intelligentsia has been discretely appropriated by what appears to be a clique of uber rich corporatists who, thru various business arrangements such as shell companies and formal conglomerates, own a tremendous amount of media assets (conventional and digital) in order to sway public opinion and control the flow and content of information, as well as lobby politicos and give them direction (as a supplement to the backroom deals in which they involve them to provide them a piece of the action.)
The result is hiring ‘people’ such as the above mentioned thing in the linked article. And herein I see revealed a gross miscalculation on the part of the Power Brokers. They flattered themselves in thinking they could successfully manage a dissolution of Western liberal democratic societies to impose a new order that would be welcomed by relieved masses – an order with them completely in control politically and financially. What the reaction of the masses is going to be, however, is likely very different, as they become increasingly aware of what sorts of creatures are being placed over them as their rulers.
In short – the Power Brokers are making the same mistakes as the French Aristocracy did in assuming it had a divine right to impose its will on the people while indulging in fantastic debauchery and misappropriation of the nation’s wealth and resources.
Have you ever considered ho much this is starting to resemble the Earth portrayed in Tom Kratman’s Carreraverse?
For me it’s more like Kurt Schlichter’s 6-part (and growing) Kelly Turnbull series. He’s sounding prophetic at this point.
But even he is having trouble grasping how fucked things have become. For one, Schlichter still believes that the GOP has a chance to win the midterms.
I was thinking specifically about the part where the neoAztecs perform a human sacrifice and then eat the victim.
I mean if you’re teaching school kids to pray to Aztec gods how far are you from human sacrifice and cannibalism? Hell some douche from CNN or MSNBC ate human brains on tv.
Ya I’m hoping elections still mean something myself. Of course Joe seems determined to get us into a shooting war with Russia so we may be radioactive ash by election day anyway.
Yo M Squared,
It ain’t ice cream joey trying to get us into a war with the rooshins. Joey is a stooge, a prop (and he knows it but doesn’t care.) The cabinet is giving orders, but is receiving their own marching orders from elsewhere. My gut tells me it’s Soros and a sub-clique of Davos cunts.
There’s reasons why the Rooshins and the Chicoms hate the Davos crowd, why Soros rails publicly against China, and why the EU technocrats kowtow to the Davos fraternity.
An analogue to the Davos group is the Patricians of the Roman Republic’s Senate, pre-Imperium but late in the history of the Republic.
Look, I’m not hoping for it at all, but the 0.1% is driving us to a French-style revolution, and at this point we are just a step or two away.
https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2022/02/12/new-zealand-deploys-tactic-used-against-noriega-on-freedom-convoy-n448106
They don’t have civilian neighbors in that area? Of course when they start with the Maori hakas maybe the government should consider a different approach.
On a serious note. Who would have thought N.Z. and Australia would have gone full Soviet/Fascist in as short a time as they did? A prime example of why anything less than Constitutional carry is bad.
In Ozland they started some sort of gun confiscation program back in the mid-90’s, and people who were allowed to keep their guns were put under stupid restrictions – gun on one side of the house, ammo on the other, everything under lock and key, etc…
For the first 2-3 years, gun crime did drop. Then it started growing again. It’s now significantly above the rate it used to be when gun ownership was less restricted.
Look at Mexico. It has been defacto illegal for private citizens to own firearms since forever. Nonetheless, Mexico has become something of a shooting gallery, with a vastly higher gun crime rate than the USA.
The argument that Mexico’s gun violence is due to the much higher gun ownership rates next door in America doesn’t hold water, because if it was level of legal gun ownership causing the violence, America would have a far, far higher rate of gun violence than mexico, when the exact opposite is true.
I repeat myself, but:
Gun control has dick-all to do with reducing gun violence. It has everything to do with the Left’s desire for micromanaging the lives of Americans and keeping them under the thumb of the State.
Holy shit:

My political thoughts for the day:
Snow storm 9 has ended. What was predicted as 1-3″ turned into 1.5′ in the drive. Granted 45mph winds helped but c’mon man. Fortunately the new snow thrower was up and running. Now we wait for storm 10 later this week. Isn’t global warming grand?

In other news. Saw a woman trying to go for coffee get slapped around and threatened by Ottawa police.
Really gotta wonder what’s wrong with the Ottawa cops. They can’t possibly think they’re actually upholding the law. They MUST know they’re acting as the Jackboots for what is now an authoritarian regime.
Don’t understand why they aren’t either resigning en masse or simply refusing orders in great numbers.
The fences are going up around the Capitol again.
It seems we are slipping rapidly past the next two elections and a peaceful separation straight to the bullet box phase of public discourse. Sure hope I’m wrong.

To all the millions of posters and contributors on this board, which is starting to rival Drudge Report at its height:
Has everyone noticed the increasingly frothy hubbub about Roosha and YouCrane?
Looks to me like the Rooshins are moving towards the equivalent of the Austrian Anschluss of 1938.
All of this reminds me of some things:
1. When Europe squared off ‘strategically’ in WW1 (England, France, Italy and Roosha against Germany, Austria and Turkey), the USA got dragged in to clean up the mess.
2. When Europe squared off between Italy & Germany versus England, France and Roosha, the USA got dragged in to clean up the mess.
3. When Western Europe squared off against the Warsaw Pact in the Cold War, the USA got dragged in to deal with the growing mess – this time globally.
I’m curious: if YouCrane getting annexed by Roosha is such a big fucking deal, squaring off an expanded NATO/EU against a resurgent imperialist Roosha, why do we have to do ANYTHING about it?
Isn’t three times in a century ENOUGH???
What an interesting day!
Roosha invades YouCrane – are the baltics next? How about eastern europe? How about them Chinese, backing Roosha? Could this develop into another Axis and WW3 or 4, depending on what you call the Cold War? Is Taiwan next for China? Is eastern Europe going to go on a crash re-armament and maybe form a seperate military alliance to distance themselves from a feckless and enervated NATO?
Here’s John Kerry’s response to the YouCrane ‘anschluss’ – I couldn’t imagine his statement could be more effervescently gay:
https://twitchy.com/gregp-3534/2022/02/24/not-a-parody-part-2-john-kerry-warns-of-the-carbon-footprint-of-russias-invasion-of-ukraine/
I remember a few days ago Klaus Schwab said Vlad Putin was one of the douchebags like Trudeau who went thru the WEF “Leaders of Tomorrow” program or some such thing. Is Vlad marching to their tune, setting the stage for a global war that constitutes an annihilation of everything to usher in a ‘global reset’, or setting the stage for a ‘1984’ world of Eastasia, Eurasia and Oceania squaring off, in either case greatly growing the power and wealth of the current 0.1% in all three areas? Or is Vlad defying the WEF turds and cutting his own path of glory and empire?
Another thought:
Remember that we saved Europe’s ass 3 times last century, and the world’s ass twice.
This New Imperial Roosha thing is a european problem – NOT! OURS! Europe tried to use the EU and NATO to fence in the Russkies and have stupidly provoked them to react in their historic “We must always expand to survive” pattern. SO: Europe can unfuck themselves ON THEIR OWN this time. France and the UK counterbalance the nukes of Roosha, and together (even with faggot ass Germany) Europe should be able to muster a military counterbalance to the new Red Army. What they really need is the WILL to do so, but again – it’s their problem, since their machinations caused it, the dumbfucks. (They never learn, those stupid bastards…)
But China/Taiwan is different. If China takes over Taiwan, they’ll have 80% of the semiconductor foundry capacity under their thumb. Combine that with their predominance in controlling rare earths (which could be countered, again with some Will in the West), and they could conceivably hold a technology stranglehold on a global scale. THAT could lead to a world war.
That 100 year cycle between major conflicts in history really does seem to have some legitimacy, doesn’t it?
Cheery thoughts today….
I’m Baaack!
22 Feb. middle of a nasty snowstorm suddenly developed a 105 degree fever. 40 minutes for a 15 mile response and an hour back to the hospital ambulance plowing snow it was so deep. On top of fever I had Fau Chi Flu 2.0 after having it in January. Apparently the fever caused a mild heart attack. If that wasn’t all developed an infection in my left leg and gained 7 pounds on a hospital heart healthy diet. Anyway made it home finally yesterday.
Vlad you really stuck your dick in it this time.
UN General Assembly condemns Russian invasion? Am I in the same universe? Switzerland abandoning it’s legendary neutrality and freezing Russian assets, Germany tripling it’s defense budget. Even Moldova spitting defiance at the bear.
Meanwhile Joe is still Joe. “We can’t disrupt world energy supply by cutting off Russian oil.” Also Joe We are going to send increased aid to Ukraine. Even Hollyweird has a stronger reaction than that.
At least he hasn’t committed American combat forces to Ukraine. Yet!
Holy crap, M squared – what are you doing playing with a 105 body temp? Generally speaking, that’s not pleasant and should be avoided. 😉
Heart attack??? Another thing to avoid.
Hope you are recovering very swiftly.
I look at the russkies fucking around with Ukraine as Europe being stupid again, as it has been for so many centuries. Think of the near-continent wide wars like the 30 years war, the Napoleonic era, WW1, WW2 and the Cold War. These idiots are always maneuvering at the diplomatic level with so many gyrations that they tie themselves into knots and collide into war. Fucktards….
I’m very disappointed in Vlad. He’s degenerated into a slavic Saddam Hussein. What a douchebag.
Notice the historic repeats/rhythms we are witnessing:
1. Russian paranoia concerning national survival, believing that if they’re not expanding, they’re contracting.
2. The last genuinely major war on european soil ended about 80 years ago – nearly 4 generations.
3. Slavic Orthodox Christian Russia squaring off (for the most part) against Teutonic and Gallic Western Christian (both catholic and protestant) Europe.
THese. STupid. Fucks. Never. Fuckin’. LEarn.
Happy friday!
HEY, YOU!
You’re ALLLLLLL over town!!!
I’ve realized unfortunately this blog has turned into a chat room for the two of us. Our Assyrian friend has even returned to his crypt.
Look at the date of this last post, December 15. I realize that Thales is a busy man but the reality of the situation is except as a chat room for two old farts this blog is essentially dead.
Never fear, I’ll still be here especially since Kratman killed his blog.
Meanwhile the quest for two hundred continues.
In other news Elon continues to have better foreign policy, energy and First Amendment positions than anyone in US government today. And I’m willing to bet he paid more personal taxes than all the politicians in DC combined.
To say nothing of De Facto running the US space program single handedly.
I just learned of fraud in Pfizer’s internal trials of the MRNA vaccine and that there were more deaths in the vaxxed group than the control group. Longish article.

Random thoughts and observations.
In Tennessee a truckdriver fueled his rig. It cost him $1052.00
If it wasn’t for nukes we’d be going toe to toe with the Russians right now.
The presses at the Fed are running full speed 24/7 and the Administration blames COVID, Trump and Russia for inflation.
Commenters on various stories think even if Russia uses Nuclear, biological or chemical weapons in Ukraine it’s none of our business and we should ignore it.
When I got COVID in January my BP went to 146/80 and stayed there until my hospitalization. Medical types say COVID doesn’t last a month but now my BP holds steady at 120/60.
The miracle vaccines seem to compromise the immune system the more you pile on boosters.
Yo M Squared,
Doubt the russkies will be so gay as to use NBC weapons. They’d become lepers. Somebody in the chain of command and/or other power brokers in big biz and the russkie mafia (they’re all intertwined with govt) would rebel and Vlad Putie would wind up sleeping with the fishes at the bottom of the Volga or something.
The 0.1% narratives are predictably gay regarding inflation. I wonder if Nostradamus had a prophecy that applied to our current situation.
About the kung flu vax – I, at this point, believe the conspiracy theories that each shot damages the immune system progressively. The CDC has now even conceded that the vax alters DNA, which is mind boggling, terrifying and monstrous.
Reports say Ukraine offered neutrality and Putin said no. Meanwhile Germany increases defense spending 100 billion Euros. If you want a rearmed Germany this is how you get a rearmed Germany.
Apparently Putin believes his own propaganda about a weak and spineless west.
You’re right time for Putin to sleep with the fishes.
Fuck.
Notice, M Squared, how with the Russkies trying to expand West and Red China acting like old Imperial China again, everyone is once again squaring off? FUcking krauts want to revive the Wehrmacht, Japan wants to violate its constitution and bring back its Imperial Army, Navy and Air Force……FUCK.
We need to sit this one out, for fuck’s sake.
Well when the bear roars people get nervous. When the bear attacks your neighbor you’re late if you’re not prepared. Germany’s been dicking around for at least a decade so now they have to play catchup. Finland and Sweden and Poland are scared enough the are acting like Swiss and arming everybody.
China has directly threatened Japan and with Joey in the White House they aren’t taking chances. same goes for the Philippines. Duarte has stopped making nice to China because of Chinese belligerence. Vietnam is in relatively good shape having never trusted China. Australia has become a giant authoritarian concentration camp.
India Just “accidentally” fired a rocket into Pakistan and they are having problems with China also.
South Korea is in the same boat as Japan.
Putin sleeping with the fishes sooner rather than later would stabilize the situation in Europe and DC not selling out to China would stabilize the Pacific.
In other words we’re fucked.
The spinelessness of this administration knows no bounds. Poland wants to give Ukraine Soviet era Migs in exchange for USED F-16s. The Pentagon wants to train Ukrainians in Guerrilla tactics. The administration says no it might provoke Putin because he’s scary. He threatens nukes if he doesn’t get his way.
If Trump was President he would have ok’d both and when Putin threatened he would have said go ahead make my day.
Of course with Trump Europe wouldn’t have to deal with this BS.
This is interesting:
Takes a special kind of person to want to be part of a secret police/spy organization. Not the good kind.
Is there a limit to the number of posts that can be made to a particular string here?
This is starting to look like one of those open threads on Instapundit.
So, M squared:
Should I get a lever action rifle chambered in 357 magnum to complement my revolver, or should I go for a nice, full size .308/7.62×51 rifle?
The rest of you stay out of this conversation, I’m tired of every thread of mine getting flooded by thousands of replies….
1) Always plan worst case 2) The less variety in inventory the better especially if you plan on reload. 3) Is there a lot of open ground that would necessitate the range of the .308 like you would need for hunting elk? In typical east of the Mississippi terrain there is a lot of close together trees and undergrowth with open territory being large farms.
Being in the east with lots of trees and the advantage of commonality of caliber in reload. I would go with .357.
A great take on it, M squared. 🙂
There is both open country and forested terrain where I am (desert and mountains.) As far as I’m concerned, the effective range for an 1873 with 24″ barrel chambered in 357 Mag is probably 100 yards at the very most. I’m basing this on some ballistics data which I’ve seen and consider reliable, and comparing it to results 44 magnum aficionados get when hunting with a revolver with a 6″ barrel. For the 44 Mag pistoleros, 50 yards seems about maximum; based on the ballistics, I think 100 yards in the rifle described above is achievable against deer, antelope and wild hog (midsize game, essentially.)
The .308 would be for something 200 yards out and more, as well as somewhat larger game (elk or black bear.) But to shoot effectively at such distances requires (as far as I’m concerned) a good scope and genuine skill, and I’m no Vasily Zaitsev.
So: right now, I’m leaning towards the 357 still, and perhaps I’ll get it will a moderate/low power detachable scope if I want to shoot something a bit smaller at, say, 125 yards.
Side note: as much a douchebag as vlady putie has turned out to be, as well as his constant weaving of fact and fiction together to create any narrative he chooses, I’d say in the following he’s basically telling the truth:
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/putin-blames-western-ruling-elite-global-economic-problems
For hunting purposes and the larger game .308 is minimum for elk and I’ve read .338 as a minimum. Good luck getting elk as close as 200yds. Most writers talk distances of 350yds and beyond. Get a bolt action unless you think you might face live pop up targets then a semi auto with detachable box mag would be better. In semi if you can afford them, LWRC rifles are excellent with a 20,000 round barrel as opposed to most others which give you 10,000 round barrels.
Wasn’t familiar with Vasily. Usually when I quote famous hunters it’s Chris Kyle, Sgt. York and Simo Hayha. Simo is king bad ass of the sniper group.
Sieg Heil? Vlad sounds just like a certain Austrian paper hanger of infamy.
He’s also right about global elites.
Yeah, M squared, I’ve shot the .338 – as in the Lapua Magnum. OMG, that was not enjoyable. What a beast. Pretty much an anti-satellite weapon. I figure it would be good against Cape Buffalo, Kodiak bears and the occasional tyrannosaur or kdatlyno.
I did not know this bit of info about rifle barrel endurance. To be honest, I think it’s shameful that someone would manufacture a weapon that can only shoot 10k rounds reliably.
I am shocked how poorly the Red Army is performing in Ukeistan. Even after 3 decades of professionalizing their army, modernizing it, observing the Americans and having ‘pre-season’ warmups in Chechnya and Georgia, they seem woefully unprepared in terms of tactics, operations and coordination. No combined arms, no way of dealing with AT or AA rockets, no ‘eyes in the sky’ intel and coordination….to be honest, they seem to be performing at the level of the Iraqi army in Gulf War 1.
I have to conclude that the rooshins are, without nukes, a paper tiger.
China must be shitting bricks after seeing this. I believe their weaponry, operational doctrine and tactics are much the same, and they have even less recent experience than the russkies. If China tried to invade Taiwan, it would turn into another ‘divine wind’ on them – I sincerely doubt more than 10% of the force would make it to the beach.
Taiwan nevertheless needs to smarten up. They need their entire populace armed and trained. Should use the Swiss model. An invasion would then become effectively impossible.
My bad, I was thinking .338 Winchester Mag. which was designed specifically for elk, moose and the larger bears.
I agree about the Russians. At this rate the Ukrainians will win the war and Putin will be backed into a corner. Not someplace you want to put the bear.
I still think my neutral ring strategy will work if we don’t wait to much longer. Georgia and Ukraine neutral like Austria in the cold war and no NATO or formal EU membership. Putin gets his little rebellious provinces. He can force relocate Ukrainians like they did the East Prussians after WWII. Russia stops harassing Sweden and Finland and they don’t join NATO or EU. All four Neutrals can have full advantage of EU economics if they desire. Meanwhile Ukraine Georgia get help rebuilding and the mandatory military aid packages Everybody get to declare victory but Georgia and Ukraine get help becoming economic powerhouses. The rebuild phase outlasts Putin and hopefully this nonsense of poke the bear doesn’t repeat. Also the Israel to Greece subsea pipeline gets serious backing by the EU including military protection. Since the Pipeline can benefit Turkey also there is an even better chance of security. Now we only have to survive the Biden admin until Jan. 2024.
Actually, M Squared, I’m not too worried about Ice Cream Joey. He’s just a stand-in, a puppet. His ‘cabinet’ is getting its orders from others.
I’m going to repeat a prediction:
Ice Cream Joey will be out by July 4th, when the cabinet is instructed to 25th him. Before then, Cackling Kneepads will be out as well (they’ll concoct a scandal or ‘health issue), and her replacement will be the one who takes the Big Seat from Joey.
Both of them were installed by the ‘power brokers’ to be stand-ins while the cabinet did the actual work ordered by the PBs. But they were very, very poorly chosen. The PBs, in their blind arrogance, thought the public would swallow whatever shit was shoved down their throats. But even amongst the normally faithful cult members – hell, even among elements of the Minitrue – there is too much open complaint, disillusionment, disappointment and disquiet. They need two new stooges. I think they realize it now.
If they don’t get rid of Cackler and Joey by mid summer, it won’t matter how much they stuff ballot boxes in november or how brazen the cheating will be. America will detonate.
This is all going to get super duper interesting. The economic disruptions worldwide from the compromised Rooshin and Ukistani grain harvests, squeezed fertilizer supply from same, and the disruptions from sanctions and war damage on commodities trades (precious metals, rare minerals, energy and such) are going to ripple like seismic waves globally. Watch inflation (which, if you measured it the way we did back in the 70’s, has already exceeded the 15% level we reached back then) rise fiercely.
I’ve been looking for lever action 357 and semiauto 308 rifles around here for a good month. NOTHING available. There’s an insane amount of 9×19 on the shelves, but everything else is in low supply or totally unavailable. This is going to get bad again.
Who knows? Maybe they’ll try to cancel the 22 midterms and try to impose rationing and price controls like in ww2, with people being told they have to carry papers to allow them to get their fuel and food rations. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if this is attempted.
And if the rooshins, china and saudi arabia together crack the USD as the international trade currency by cutting deals in their own currencies, we could easily a see a run on the USD that would make everything an order of magnitude worse.
A storm is rolling in.
Important question. They made a big fuss over Trump getting two scoops. How many does Joe get?
I prefaced us surviving on the M Squared doctrine as outlined. If nobody in NATO or the EU comes up with a similar plan we are screwed because it’s certain whoever is in charge in DC can’t find their collective asses with both their hands and a troop of seeing eye dogs.
Bro – NOBODY is in charge in DC.
The cabinet reports into somebody else – not Ice Cream Joey. Same for the DNC and the RINOs and the Swamp – they are working for somebody behind the scenes.
My bet is a subgroup of the Davos douchebags.
Interesting piece of data: I just heard that American trainers have been in Ukeistan since 2014, when the Rooshins started shit in those two eastern provinces. This would go a long way towards explaining the difference in performance between the two armies – along with undoubted AWACS support being given to the Ukeistanis.
It appears I’m not the only person who theorizes that Joey and Cackler are getting set up to be dumped:
https://amgreatness.com/2022/03/19/bidens-handlers-are-preparing-to-eject-him-and-kamala/
How to get rid of Kamala first. Next get Republicans to put aside politics to go for the twenty fifth. If they don’t replace Kamala once they remove her and go for the twenty fifth you get President Nancy.
And if you force Kamala out isn’t that racist?
To get rid of Kamala, the MSM will be told to relentlessly drive some sort of scandal (potentially quite contrived.) Kamala will be told by the Brokers that she needs to simply yield, resign and she’ll be amply rewarded. Then Joey’s cabinet will be told who her replacement needs to be, and Joey will be instructed to choose that person. Then Joey gets 25th’d, and the Cackler replacement gets put in the Big Seat.
My guess is Hillary is a leading choice, but there will be others. Nancy P ain’t one of ’em.
I wonder if Mitt Romney is maneuvering to be the choice…..maybe Bloomberg……I’m sure there’s a few more.
Whoever it is, the MSM will absolutely break all records pouring on the endorsements and praise.
Holy Shit.
https://theothermccain.com/2022/03/21/ukraine-most-shocking-news-so-far/
This, combined with the fact that Pravda – PRAVDA – just published a casualty report from the Soviet defense ministry that, to date, 9861 red army troopers are dead and 16500 wounded, and then quickly took down the post, tells me some interesting things.
It means to me the american trainers for the Ukeistan army have worked wonders over these last 8 years. It also means the Red Army is a comparative joke, and without nukes, the USSR would be everybody’s bitch.
It looks like Vlad’s going to lose this one which makes Zelenskyy’s recent moves of banning opposition parties and making all media organs of the state more of an immediate concern.
With that in mind it’s time for M Squared’s Doctrine part two. 1) Until the shooting stops Ukraine gets what is needed to win. 2) As soon as the shooting stops we go full Marshall plan to help rebuild and return people to there homes.
3) No military aid until the ban on opposition parties is ended and the Ukraine free media is restored.
If Zelenskyy does this on his own great. We don’t need anymore dictators in Europe.
WWIII was called off today because the Russians were to incompetent and the US couldn’t figure out the correct pronouns to address the enemy by. The status quo will therefore continue.
You know I posted the above post as satire then I read a report that says Russian troops are suffering from frostbite due to a lack of cold weather gear. WTF! Russians without cold weather gear?
Interesting – it looks like Vlady Putie is genuinely on shaky ground (else this statement would never have seen the light of day:)

It’s essentially what I’ve been saying all along. Don’t corner the bear. The Russian Psyche has been unstable about being isolated and surrounded for centuries. Peter and Catherine tried to overcome that but the rest of the Czars and the Soviets just fed that fear. Napoleon and Hitler didn’t help.
Your federal government, hard at work to keep you free…..

One of the greatest, most important lectures in world history:
Confucius say: If US intelligence community says one thing, assume the opposite.
Just saw this htpps://video.foxnews.com/v/6302363341001#sp=show-clips
Nigel Farage said this in 2014 and it’s just now coming out. Wonderful.
Holy shit. Nice find, M squared.
#187 and counting…
It’s titled, Tucker: Why did the Russians do this?
Farage 8 years ago reached the same conclusion I did.
#188
THIS is a FUCKING YYYYOOOOOOOOJ DEAL!

Tried logging in Sunday AM got a 404 error repeatedly. Glad it wasn’t permanent.
This is Putin’s FUCK YOU BIDEN moment. Also torpedoed fiat currency in general.
TSW my friend. It appears we may be on the road to 300 before long. Should we reach that point, much as I like our conversations, I will seriously consider quitting this blog.
I know you are busy with your own affairs but would it be possible for you to post something? I can barely right a coherent paragraph otherwise I would try my hand. In ten days it will be four months since Thales last post.
My posting something would take quite an effort. But perhaps I can marshal my strength for something within the next several weeks.
I must admit I am perturbed by the extended absence of Dystopic/Thales, not to mention he is in arrears on my royalty payments for past posts. I can ignore the first $2-3M, but after that it starts to sting…..
😉
You remember the videos of the tsunami that hit Thailand about 10 years ago or so from that undersea quake off the coast of Indonesia? You remember how before the tsunami hit, the tide rolled back off shore about a mile or so?
I get the sense that the tide is still rolling back, building into something….Biblical.
A new post would be mightily appreciated. Those arrears royalties can be a problem especially with all those confiscated oligarchs super yachts on the market these days.
You may be right about the tides.
Two things, 1) Bie Den plans for a 3% increase in Naval spending in a 7+% inflation era resulting in a 4% actual cut to
the Navy budget. That’s assuming you believe the government figures. 2) Elon just bought 9% of Twitter Friday and Today it was announced he has been appointed to the Board of twitter. In exchange he cannot acquire more than a total of 14% of Twitter during his term on the board and for 90 days after.
In other words, Elon’s quest to become God Emperor continues apace.
I’ve found a way to make Ibram X. Kendi understandable. “The cure for past racism is current racism. The cure for current racism is future racism.”
Translated: The cure for past KKK is current KKK. The cure for current KKK is future KKK. Or segregation yesterday, segregation today segregation fore ever.
Somebody should challenge him in public with that. Loser!
Three items to enrage you.
1) Maryland Board of ED. creates inversion of Florida law protecting Pre-K though 2nd grade kids from the gender and all relationship instruction.
2) NJ throws in explicit sexual training to the above.
3) DHS and CBP may use Veteran’s Admin doctors to help with expected 18,000 illegals per month.
Yo M squared,
I don’t think these SJWs/’culture warriors’ understand that, when the pendulum swings, they’re going to be on the wrong end of a guillotine. And the pendulum is going to swing might hard and far.
GOD KING Elon strikes. Offers 40 billion for Twitter. Plans to take company private and make it an absolute free speech site.
Since yesterday was my 70th birthday I will take this announcement as the greatest birthday present ever.
Happy Bday from one dinosaur to another 🙂

Thanks for the sentiment.
Meanwhile, Saudi Prince apparently a major shareholder in twitter has declared Elon’s offer to be lowballing and refuses to sell at the offered $54.20 a share. Twitter closed today at $45.065 a share. Goldman Sachs has valued Twitter at $30.00 a share. Interesting times ahead.
Moscow threatens Sweden and Finland with placing nukes in Kaliningrad if they apply for NATO membership. Foreign ministers of Sweden and Finland say nukes are already there.
HAPPY EASTER to the billions who follow this blog regularly.
Yes, agreed – Happy Easter to all the zillions who follow this blog and make it the most followed blog in the series o’ tubez!
Side note:
You’ll never guess what I bumped into yesterday.
https://unabombermanifesto.com/Industrial-Society-and-Its-Future-Theodore-Kaczynski.pdf
I’ve reached paragraph 33.
There are multiple edited versions on the series-o-tubez out there which, in particular, cut out the first 32 paragraphs because it hertz their feelz.
So far, I’d say it’s a great read and Kaczynski is clearly a very smart guy. In the end, I suspect I’m going to conclude he is a deluded, neurotic, loser asshole – after all, he was a misanthropic hermit who mailed bombs across the country, killing three and wounding 20. But I’ll do my best to read this thru and promise to be as objective as I can.
Elon buys Twitter Tucker immediately unbanned.
Yeah, but let’s see how long it takes before GEOTUS is unbanned…. 😉
The deal hasn’t even been finalized which is hilarious. Elon has essentially done nothing yet. Deal may not become final until October.
He backed the board into a corner since the quarterly report is due out soon. The report is expected to show missed revenue expectations.
Report out shows several conservative personalities on the day of the announcement losing average of 50 followers. Tucker was one of those. The very next day Tucker had gained 68,000 followers. Meanwhile the top leftists lost several thousand on the same day.
Pay careful attention to the MSM during the summer.
They’ll start preparing the ‘battle space’ for the election to cover for a truly monumental amount of ballot box stuffing they’ll intend to perform. They’ll also scream at the top of their lungs that the GOP is planning to do exactly that.
The 2022 results will be very heavily contested. I’m betting it’ll be the breaking point.
Putin claims US helping Ukraine build nuclear weapons.
I haven’t been this concerned about nuclear war since 1July 1976.
Mask falls completely off. Biden DHS forms Ministry of Truth to monitor social media posts.
I know that’s not the official name but welcome to Orwell’s 1984.
Ya know, M squared, I was on the ‘according to hoyt’ website a few days ago and saw a thread where many people were loudly and fiercely complaining about such things and how they were going to ‘get in people’s faces’ and ‘vote out’ the current regime to fix things.
I foolishly thought I could positively contribute to the discussion by stating that I didn’t think that would be productive, and nothing short of a Red State Secession would do, since the rot had penetrated too far into every cultural/civilizational institution. My thesis was that the vote was already corrupted and only a Red State Secession could avoid a civil war.
The response from the other contributors was quite vitriolic – I was accused of being a ‘Fed plant’ and got banned.
What that tells me is that we’ve lost this fight. Those who are most unhappy with the current state of affairs seem unwilling to even contemplate solutions that, though hard and unpalatable, are most likely to achieve the least destructive outcomes in the long term.
Realistically speaking, it took Europe about 1400 years to recover from the collapse of the Roman Imperium. I suspect our recovery will not take so long, but I’d be quite shocked if it occurred in our lifetimes. Our descendants are going to spent a long time in the shadow of what once was before they or their own descendants will be ready and able to equal or surpass such achievements.
So be it. Forewarned is forearmed. 🙂
A couple of years ago I commented on how civilization was collapsing and one of the examples I gave was the roads are not maintained as well as they used to be. The proof I used was in July 1974 I drove from Mammoth Cave, KY. to Detroit and never saw road construction. I compared that with today were the same trip same time frame and it’s hard to avoid the construction. Sarah herself told me I was full of it. Didn’t wait to get banned just unfollowed the web site.
Don’t agree divorce is a solution. As far as the dark age, part of the collapse ushering it in will involve city killing mushrooms and that will require a very long time to recover from. If the new Ministry of Truth is any indication, the collapse will also involve some form of rebellion against the looming dictatorship.
May God help us all.
Now THIS is interesting:
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/new-gold-standard-kremlin-confirms-intention-back-ruble-gold-and-commodities
My guess is roosha is working quite closely with China on this – who is rumored to have staggering gold reserves and who is roosha’s primary trading partner, with the rooshins supplying minerals and energy to the chinese factories (you can see the subservience inherent in such a relationship – foolish for the rooshins to get themselves into such a fix.)
This is a critical threat to the Davos kids, Wall Street, and all the central banks and financial sectors of the West – it’s a direct challenge to the USD’s hegemony in world trade (including the ability to export inflation) and the dominance of the Euro in western europe. The Power Brokers must now be really fretting and driving their servants in western governments to figure out how to depose Putin and install a western-backed puppet without triggering a nuclear conflict. They’ll probably try to lure the top rooshin industrialists into a ‘partnership’, but they will have real difficulty pulling this off.
We’re headed into super interesting times….
Good article

Second attempt to post. First one vanished
USAID Chief Samantha Power says fertilizer shortage will help push farmer to greener methods such as manure.
Idiot completely ignores manure takes long period of time to fully release nutrients which results i much lower yields than modern chemical fertilizer.
Of course if your real goal is 95% population reduction it makes perfect sense. Of course somewhere along the way we will lose the requisite number of people and tech knowhow to maintain our civilization at current levels. We may maintain enough knowhow and people to stop at Iron age levels. That’s not counting the various bad actors who won’t be able to resist using WMDs to bolster their position. Welcome to the world of the early middle ages.
I may have the knowledge to help keep people alive however getting someone to listen and learn before necessity forces them will be the biggest problem. Which of course I may not live long enough to affect anything.
Isn’t it really amazing how stupid the wokeists in positions of political power clearly are?
Look at how egregiously stupid Samantha Power is – truly, she is dumber than a 16 y.o. high school cheerleader.
Then look at the woman who has just been appointed to the ‘Disinformation Control Board’ for Homeland Sec.
Modern leftists are extremely infantile.
An enterprising person would be creating a fertilizer business right about now…. 😉
p.s. Who else on this board has seen “The Northman”? I saw it late last week.
